Pro Systems: “Up on the Roof” at the 2004 Christmas Tree Lighting in Rockefeller Center

New York City, NY – November 30, 2004 – Pro Systems provided four LED video walls for the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center. The four walls, 14.5’ x 13’,displayed a live feed of NBC’s coverage of the festivities, hosted by NBC’s Al Roker and Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell, to the thousands of people who flock each year to see the initial lighting of the magnificent tree. Two screens were placed on top of the NBC Studios building, while the other two were displayed on trucks, one at 49^th street and the other at 50^th street. Ceremony officials estimate that over 50,000 people enjoyed live performances by Chicago, Tony Bennett, Hilary Duff, Jessica Simpson, and the Radio City Rockettes and note that the video walls provided by Pro Systems allowed more people to enjoy the live experience of the tree lighting than ever before. The celebration marks Pro Systems’ inaugural implementation of LED video walls in any of its events.
